Attachments
- CSR committee report
- Project-wise spend
- Unspent account details
Steps
- Compute 2% of average section 198 net profits.
- Separate ongoing projects from other unspent amounts.
- File CSR-2 with the year’s financial statements.
Penalty if missed: section 135. Twice the amount required to be transferred to the Schedule VII fund or the Unspent CSR Account, or ₹1 crore, whichever is less.
Questions
- We spent nothing because profit was nil this year.
- Applicability looks at the preceding year. Spend looks at the average of three preceding years. A nil current-year profit does not erase a preceding-year trigger.
